With 5 nests and 4.3mt of perching the Aldeburgh 1600 Chicken Coop provides housing for up to 25 Bantams, or 20 Laying Hens and with the optional Large Fowl Modification 8 Large Fowl birds including a cockerel.
Features:
- Nest Design: The removable nest assemble is fitted with night shutters, barring the birds access to the nests overnight, stopping night soiling and egg spoiling.
- Cleaning Access: The nest assembly and the adjacent wall are removable. And the roofs open, maximising cleaning access.
- Roofs Lined: All the roofs are weathered in 20mm thick pressure treated shiplap boarding. However, as a ‘belt & braces’ feature, we also under line the boards with 4mm exterior grade ply.
- Removable Floor Section: Better cleaning access.
- Removable Perching: Better cleaning access.
- Handles: Easy moving.
- Hen Instinct: LOW NESTS: Hens are ground nesters so like a low nesting. HIGH PERCHES: Hens are tree roosters so prefer the perceived security of a high perch. VENTED RIDGE: Its often forgotten how vital fresh air is for the bird’s welfare. The elevated house gives birds cover under the coop. As hens do not sweat, they regulate body temperature by accessing shade and shelter
- Reversible Nests: As standard the Aldeburgh Chicken Coop has the nest assembly to the right of the pophole door. However, by removing and turning the entire roof around the nest can be fitted over to the left.
- Delivery: Shipped built & ready to use.

Please Note:
The timbers used are pressure treated prior to building so well protected against rot. However, we strongly recommend that your housing is treated at least once yearly with our water repellent, animal safe, timber treating overcoat. This forms an invisible, water repellent layer over the house, so lessening the moisture uptake that in time could promote timber decay.
